I am a 22 year old who was diagnosed with OCD approx. 3 yrs ago. Since then, I have undergone 4 arthroscopic surgeries to try and repair a lesion on my femoral condyle. Unfortunately, nothing has worked and my doctor has recommended that I undergo the Carticel procedure. A biopsy of my cartilege has been removed and the new cells are ready to go, so basically it is up to me. I am just wondering if anyone else has undergone this procedure, and the success that they have had. I am very nervous that I will undergo the Carticel procedure, do all the rehab, and my knee will still hurt. Any comments/stories are welcome.
