I have been reading the articles sent me and cannot find info on total knee replacement using cartilage from a cadaver rather than the plastic knee replacements available. I have no cartilage left in my knee so cannot have a partial replacement or use my own cartilage for repair. I have heard they are doing this type of replacement perhaps in New york? on a trial basis. I don't know what it's called. I don't even know if this is a meniscal transplantation or should come under the heading of cartilage replacement in the knee. I need info on this...Thanks..
