Torn Medial Meniscus

This spring I fell in a parking lot and ever since that time my knee feels numb. I wanted to know if I should be concerned. It does occassionally give my pain.

August 13th, i was diagnosed with a torn medial mensicus. i was just curious and wanted to know what i can expect from here on in, my knee has been swallon for almost 4 weeks know and the pain at times puts me in tears and makes it impossible for me to work sometimes let alone sleep. could you give me a few hints as to what i should be looking forward to and help me understand exactly what is being done.
