Dear Dr., I am 28 and played college football. As part of participating in the sport I suffered a severe knee injury that resulted in the reconstruction of my ACL and removal of my damaged meniscus. That occured when I was 19. My knee is now giving me trouble through the lose of motion and grinding that can be felt when a hand is placed on my knee and I extend my leg. I recently particpated in a flag football game and experienced extreme pain the next day followed with swelling. My question to you is what should my next steps be and what options do I have with no Meniscus left in my knee? Thanks for your help.
