i am waiting to have th eprocess done in september. basically they will chop the bone around the knee and take most of the knee away and will put a lot of metal plates and screws in to make the leg straight and over time the bones will fuse together, i think they leave the metal work in.

I had a 90yr. old knee @ the age of 28. I went with the fusion option which my orthopedist said was the best option because the knee was worse than he thought. I was wondering if there is any reversal, because now I am having back and hip problems, and my other knee is not far from being done and I am now 30
