Post Lateral Release Surgery

Hi everyone I am 27 years old and had knee surgery done last August. I had a lateral release done due to pattelar dislocation. I am 5 months our from surgery I never had PT. I wore a brace for about a month or so. I know am having wierd complications. The outside of my knee cap the skin is starting to sink in around my knee. My knee cap now is also very unstable and I can not bear full weight on it. I was curious if anyone had this happen to them. I go back to surgeon Monday. Just scary. Don't know what to expect or if anyone has had this and what happend afterwards.
