EVERY PATIENT WHO HAS LOST CARTILAGE IN ONE OF THEIR JOINTS SHOULD READ MY WEBSITE IAGH.COM AND THEN CALL MY OFFICE FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE IAGH TREATMENT IS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL. IT IS THE ONLY BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT FOR ARTHRITIC JOINTS IN PATIENTS. ALL OTHER METHODS ARE STILL BEING TRIED ON ANIMALS. CERTAINLY, HAVE IAGH TREATMENT BEFORE YOU THINK OF JOINT REPLACEMENT.

I wish I would have looked into other options before I had my shoulder replaced at 30 then again at 33. The results of my replacement are terrible, I live in pain everyday, and have very little use of my arm. I had about 10 surgeries on my left shoulder, before I had my first replacement, and it went downhill from there. My suggestion to anyone who is 20-40 years of age and has arthritis, or degeneration of the bones, do your homework, and then do it again. Put off surgery until it is absolutely the last option that you have looked in to. Kirsten

to user495a, what surgery is your doctor considering? For your injury or osteoarthritis? 99.9 percent of doctors will try nonsurgical treatments first before surgery. As far surgery goes there are numerous cartilage repairs or patches that would work on an injured 25-year-old knee compared with structural problems. This site has lots of info. Look under the procedures category for Microfracture, Carticel, OsteoArticular Transfer System or mosaicplasty. Good luck!

Regrow cartilage ? That is the million dollar question researchers are working on. Currently there are numerous techniques that try to replace, stimulate or "regrow" cartilage. According to my surgeon, cartilage does not grow in humans except as a fetus. Microfracture surgery is the closest mimic to a similar cartilage- like substance that replaces damage cartilage. Unfortunately, it does not always work. My neighbor had Microfracture surgery with success. My Microfracture surgery did not help. If IAGH is as good as the marketing says, there would be no osteoarthritis! Every doctor would recommend it and everyone would be cured of osteoarthritis. You can look at IGAH as a possibility. But until everyone agrees that it will truly "grow" cartilage, it may be in the same category as experimental and a waste of money.

I'm 25 yrs old and in the army (paratrooper). I have been recently told that I have osteoarthritis in my left knee. I had injured my knee about 10 yrs ago playing football and had my medial meniscus reparied. About a year ago I had a very minor knee injury playing rugby and the doctor has now said that I have osteoarthritis and my require surgery. Would your treatment help me? Would I still be able to do my job in the army? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the last email, I missed a few words. What I wanted to say was, if I had my second failed shoulder replacement removed, would I be a candidate for the cell regrowth process still? Kirsten

I am the one that keeps asking the questions about shoulders. I still have my second shoulder replacement in my lt.arm, but would like it out, it is giving me so much pain. Would I still be a candidate for the cell regrowth if I don't had the replacement removed, or am I pretty much doomed for my left shoulder? Kirsten

INTRA-ARTICULAR INJECTIONS OF HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE CALLED IAGH PROMOTES THE REGROWTH OF ARTICULAR CARTILAGE IN 75% OF KNEES I HAVE TREATED. I HAVE EVEN GREATER SUCCESS WITH ANKLES - 95 %! MY CLINICAL STUDIES WITH IAGH BEGAN IN 1998 AND I HAVE 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH THIS METHOD. MY WORK IS 5 TO 10 YEARS IN ADVANCE OF THE TISSUE ENGINEERING STUDIES WHICH ARE STILL IN THE ANIMAL LABORATORY STAGE. IAGH FOLLOWS ALMOST 25 YEARS OF ANIMAL RESEARCH TO PERFECT THE METHOD. CALL (888)848-6534 FOR MORE INFORMATION AND LOOK UP WWW.IAGH.COM FOR MY CV AND OTHER INFORMATION. I DISCOVERED "MORPHOANGIOGENESIS" THE PROCESS BY WHICH GH REJUVENATES ADULT BLOOD VESSELS TO FORM FENESTRATED CAPILLARIES WHICH PRODUCE STEM CELLS NEEDED TO GROW THE NEW CARTILAGE SURFACE.(MICROVASCULAR RESEARCH 63:295, 2002) ALLAN R.
