Sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. I was having a lot of pain and range of motion problems after my microfracture. I went to a new ortho surgeon, upon my physicians referral and at 5 months he scoped my knee again. We found out that of the 2 microfracture sites, one of them wasn't successful, which is where I'm getting a lot of pain. I hadn't been getting bruising like you, but my knee still swelled up every day. Now there is talk about using an unloader brace and possibly a high tibial osteotomy, since they won't even consider knee replacement because I'm only 38. Good luck. Wish I could give you more information.

Hi Everyone,
I wrote a while ago with complaints of tendinitis in my knee after microfracture (around 4 months). Now, I'm starting to get bruising after movement in one of the incision points, which includes pain as well. No one seems to have any definite answers, and I am trying to find an orthopaedic who will investigate this problem.

My questions are:

1. Has anyone has to have another arthroscopy to investigate complications? If so, was it successful?

2. Does anyone live in the Triangle (NC) area and could recommend a good orthopaedic?

3. Any ideas of how to get over this hump in my treatment? I'm at a loss over what to do...

Thank you so much!
