If a doctor telling you could loose your leg from the Surgery !!!!!!!!!! Please, run to see a doctor with more confident, i don't think he see enough injury. The doc told me i will never be able to run again----after my surgery---and I knew he was the worst OS guy!!!!--and took me over 2 yrs to recover...and did not have time to finish my ACL.....I torn many lig. like yourself in gymnastic.

Hi
2 years a go i was messing around with my partner and child and i twisted my left knee (hearing 3 pops!). Hospital said i had damaged my ligaments, i had countless xrays, MRI, arthoscopy and 6 months of physio. The MRI showed i had torn my MCL and calf muscle, the x rays showed nothing and arthoscopy 7 months later showed i had ruptured the PCL. My hospital then discharged me and sent me to a specialist hospital cos they didnt have the expertise to repair this. This new hospital then done another arthoscopy and said that every ligament was ruptured apart from the MCL which was just torn. The doctor advised me that he highly recommended that i had reconstruction surgery, he said that i had the most unstable leg he had come across and that in 10 years i would not be able to walk due to the pain. Im 35 year old i have a 4 month old baby and im due to have to have the surgery in january, the doctor said that this is major surgery and would take a year to recover from, and that i would wake up with a knee brace fitted. he also said there was a possiblity that i could loose my leg from the surgery (i now this is the worse case) but im terrified, i keep dreaming that i loose my leg that i have all these complications. I no im being silly, maybe im a little hormonal since having my daughter. i keep telling myself that i will be able to kneal down again, to walk longer distances, and will be able to run just to try to remain focused! Does anyone have any advice? is there any questions i should be asking the doctors? has anyone else had surgery to replace all ruptued ligaments? any advice would be great cos i just dont no what to expect!
