My daughter '13' injured her knee last sept by falling directly on it. then played football and soccer. after the season we had xrays and mri it showed a torn pcl. we tried theapy but it didn't work. she had arthroscopy to trim the curled edges of the pcl she still has pain so she had more therapy still did not help now it is a wait and see what the future holds eliminating sports did not help either. she still has much pain. pcl surgery is complicated and there is still no good way to do it surgery for a torn pcl is very rare they also are very unsure how the knee will be after surgery so it will take much persistance before this would ever be preformed. she now went back into sports with no restrictions and no brace it is a wait and see situation she still has pain but she is tough and does no complain much to me but she is very frustrated it must be hard for her to deal with this a such a young age and has a hard time understanding why doctors do not just jump into surgery hope this helps Peg

I am awaiting an MRI but everything points towards partial PCL tear. Cannot handle the "inside" knee pain, instability is minimal. I am an active 27 y o and need to be on my feet at leats 8 hrs a day. What does this mean? Can I still play sports? (I am not giving up anyway)? What kind of rehab program should I follow? I am currently in PT
