Hi Deb,

Keep us posted as to what the DR says and finds.

Good luck,
Patty

I had a torn meniscus too. Two tears actually, and neither one showed up on my MRI.

Dear Patty,

Thank you for answering my question. And for letting me know they don't always show up on the MRI. Because I was thinking my symptoms were a Torn Meniscus exactly, and when it didn't show up I was very surprised.

Well, I am going for the diagnostic surgery, so I will know in the next few weeks hopefully. I meet with the doctor on Wednesday.

Thanks Again!
Deb

Hi Deb,
When I had that problem it was torn meniscus. A torn meniscus doesn't always show up on an MRI. Best of luck with the scope. Let me know what they find.

Take care,
Patty

I don't know if anybody out there has this problem, I will explain.

My left knee locks up when I bend it, when I put weight on it---bending down to the floor. It doesn't do it everytime, but when it does, I cannot walk on it at all.

I went to the emergency room the 1st time it happened. They gave me a straight brace, and 2 days later the pain subsided. Now, I don't know when or if it will lock up when i bend.

Sometimes when it locks up, if I bend my knee to the left or to the right, it will unlock. But, then it becomes very sore.

I have had x-rays, and an MRI. Both showed nothing wrong. ??? This totally perplexes me, as something is wrong!!!

I will be having a Diagnostic Arthroscopy to try to determine the problem. Does anybody out there have this same problem?

I would love to hear about it, and what the problem just might be.

Thanks!
Deb
