I am new to this site and eager to learn if anyone else has a Genesis II Oxinium knee that has failed. My original replacement was done in Dec. 2003. Within a month I told the OS that the knee was popping and felt like it was slipping. he told me that was normal. The knee kept doing this and for the last year felt like my leg was coming apart at rhe knee. Surprise...it was.

A different OS confirmed the failure and put in a new knee June 2. I am praying this one bonds to the bone. My new knee is a wright medical pivotal component. I am in PT 3 times a week and still experiencing significant pain. The pain on the outside of the knee is horrible.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Smith & Nephew knee?
