Hi Nikki I too realise you posted this a couple of years ago, however i would love to know how your recovery from this operation has been over the last couple of years. Are you able to wwalk o.k now and how long did your recovery take. I would love to hear from you. I had lateral release and tibial tubular transfer done in Jan this year, and i am still battling on a day to day basis. I still have a bad limp and find my knee gives way every now and then. I can walk for maybe 4-5 hours and then i have a bad burning sensation down the tibia all the way to ankle. I have done months of physio but dont feel like i am making any headway. People tell me it takes about a year to recover so would be interested to see how you went

Hi, I realize it's been years since you posted this, but I was wondering if you could post some information about your recovery. How long were you using a walker, wheelchair, crutches? Are you okay now? How long did it take to build up you quads? I just had a lateral release and tibial realignment done on both knees any comparison stories would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all!!! I am looking for people who are having realignment surgery in the near future. I am having mine done aug 21. (Open lateral release and patellar tendon transfer). Please post here as I want to talk to someone who is having this major surgery. I have read lots of posts and pro's and con's but I am positive this will correct alignment and improve patellar stability. I am f 25. Thanks crazygirl@jovimail.com
