Honestly I'm surprised that they say you're not eligble for knee replacement surgery, have you spoken to a different doctor about their thoughts on the matter? My grandfather was in his 80s when he had his total knee replacement surgery and he's doing great now, hardly any pain at all. I would look into seeking a second opinion on the matter because if all they're doing is repair surgery that doesn't seem to be working it can be a long and difficult road ahead.

Hi! I am posting this because I have no idea what to do!!! 5 years ago, I injured my knee at work. I have had a total of 6 (yes, six) knee surgeries, the lastest was 7 weeks ago.

The latest surgery was said to have been from the initial fall and all the other surgeries was related to this injury (blown LCL), and the lateral releases (2), MPFL reconstructions (2) and the osteotomy were subsequently due to the LCL not being fixed.

I was told that I have stage 3 chondrolmalaycia, BUT because of my age (42), I am not eligible for a knee replacement. Am I going to end up having 10 knee surgeries before the age of 50? I used to be able to exercise before my injury but seems all I do now is just sit on the computer and feel sorry for myself.

Any advise at all would be appreciated!

Thank you,
