In exciting news, scientists in England believe that we're less than ten years away from no longer needing knee replacements. They've developed a new technique which centers around the ability of stem cells to transform into other cell types. They believe that they'll be able to inject stem cells into injured joints and have them make cartilage. This won't just help knees. It can be used at any joint.
