I have been experiencing this burning knee pain when kneeling for months now and I think I've finally figured out what's causing it. Wrong shoes! I was wearing running/walking shoes that allowed me to over pronate. I got new shoes less than a week ago and the improvement has been amazing. I went to a shoe store where they watched me walk and they put me in shoes that stabilized my feet. I have also since figured out that my achilles tendon pain is due to my wearing uggs. So look at what you have on your feet. I am almost pain free in less than a week!

I was amazed to find that so many people have the exact same symptoms as I do. This discussion is discussed in parallel in this forum: http://www.knee1.com/forum/mes...p;enterthread=y#bottom

One participant explained that the pain is caused by a damaged nerve and that the problem will heal by itself over time. That came as a great relief to me!

Hello,
I just read your old post on the Knee1 forum about a sharp pain on the side of your knew only when kneeling. I wondered if you ever got any response to your question, as I'm having the exact symptoms. Thanks for your time...

I started with the same type of knee pain when kneeling a short time ago. There seems to be a lot of things that can cause it. I know I did take a fall this past summer and landed directly on my right knee. I guess I may have to see a doc and get an MRI to find out what is causing the sharp pain I get when I kneel on my right knee.

Tom, I just experienced the same feeling this week while playing with my pre-k students. It only happens when I kneel down on my right knee. It feels like I knelt down on something sharp, so I thought it was a staple in my knee, but there are no puncture wounds, or evidence of any object that I may have knelt down on. I would be interested in any replies you may have received. Thank you!!

I switched from an office job to hardwood flooring about 1 1/2 years ago and am on my knees alot. I developed a sharp pain just to the right of my knee cap. It is very localized and very painful when I kneel on that part of my knee. Almost feels like I'm kneeling on a tack or something sharp. Knee pads don't help.

I would appreciate any suggestions as to what this might be and what I can do about it.

Tom
