Hopefully what you're experiencing is just swelling as a result of your fall. Time will tell, as swelling should go away on its own within a week or two.

While you wait, follow the RICE protocol (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).

If the injury doesn't heal within two weeks or if your symptoms progress, you will probably need to see a doctor. You can also check out the Knee Injury FAQs or Education Center to read up about what you may be facing.

Good luck!

Hi All! I have had multiple knee problems in the past, but I'm worried about this one.

Tonight I tripped and landed straight on my knee. I was unable to bend it, and still am unable to bend it much. I can straighten it completely, and it doesn't hurt to bend- just feels like a lot of pressure inside (swelling) and inability to bring much past 90 degrees.

there isn't any pain (other than my rugburns where I fell, lol)... but my knee just feels weird. I can weight bear fully, and can walk without feeling of instability.

Have any of you had these types of symptoms?

TIA!
