About 3 years ago I went skiing and fell going down a hill. In the process my binding didn't release properly and I twisted my right knee. There was a popping sound during the whole thing. It didn't hurt immediately afterwards, but definitely stiffened up as the day went on. It hurt pretty bad later on that night. I went to urgent care the following day to get it looked at and they just said it was sprained. I felt better after about two weeks. Now to the present day....In february I decided it was time to lose weight and I started exercising. After doing a workout video with many variations of jumping jacks, among other things. I started to get pain in my knee again. I am having a hard time pinpointing whats going on. I feel pain deep in the middle of my knee, pain in the back of my knee, and burning pain up the outside of my leg. I really don't know whats going on. I have had the pain since february and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Any ideas at would help. I plan on seeing my doctor, but I wouldn't mind having some ideas before going in. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your original injury does sound like a sprain, so this could be something completely different. You should definitely talk to a doctor, but if your only symptom is pain, it could be Bursitis. Are you having any other symptoms such as a catching sensation in the knee, swelling, or any cracking, gratting, or popping noises?
