I had my right knee fused stiff when I was a child after an accident. I use a foot stool to rest my straight leg. You can get such one at eBay, I got mine here at Europe, i don't know if they are available where you live: you can see it there: http://tinyurl.com/4ws5q5
It points to an eBay auctoin where one such stool is sold. I hope that helps.
