I have had 5 scopes and two complete ACL repairs. Each scope trimmed and repaired some of the meniscus . The last surgery the ortho doc trimmed some more meniscus on the out side of knee. The pain has gotten worse than before the surgery. He has given me some anti-inflammatory drugs but not much help. Have had steroid injections in the past, short term relief Doctor rates my knee after surgery at at about a five out of ten. He stated that they usually due not due knee replacements until they reach 7 or higher on some type of scale. He had talked about some type of procedure called a lateral release. I am going back to see him. The last time I saw him he stated he would be aggressive as I would want. I cannot bend or get down my knees without a lot of pain. I have a hard time going up stairs, only 52 years old. Does anybody have any suggestions?
