post polio hyperextension

I need as much information as I can get from everyone who's a post polio survivor and having problems with knees. Experiences, tips, treatments, doctors, etc.

My left knee is weak and taking a beating, as the other leg is in a full leg brace. I'm hyperextending and it is now painful and throwing off my balance when walking.
