I have a question about a knee injury. I sustained a knee injury 14 months ago when a base runner slid into my leg. This caused my leg to stay stationary but my knee went sideways. There was immediate pain and swelling with an inability to bear weight for a week on the knee. I scheduled an appointment but my knee had become somewhat beeter. The doctor believed I had a sprained knee and sent me for a brace with instructions to take it easy for two weeks. Well here it is 14 months later and my knee is still very weak, gives out on me occasionaly, cliks like I need to crack it, swells after sporting events, and I have problems running and doing things I did prior to this injury. My question is does a sprain normally take this long to heal or could this be something more significant?
