I'm a 48 yr old female and I just had my second arthroscopy (first was 12 yrs ago) . First was just meniscus (ACL "shot") This time work done on meniscus as well as bone spurs removed, microfractures, notch work and ACL is completelry torn (but doc isn't fixing that). This injury occurred when good leg dropped in a hole, while bad leg (left) bent sort of inward towards the rght knee. That was Jan 3, didn't have surgery till April 18th (Hawaii Time) and now 10 weeks later still only have 90 degree bend and pain after any little excersize. Before surgery, after injury, had abot 30 degree bend. Had a second follow up and my doctor basically said goodbye till 2-3 yrs when he says I will need a knee replacemnt....
Should I be recovering better? I can ride a bike on flat with heel on petal, I walk and swim a little but can't get it straight or bend more than 90 degrees. My doc did not sign off on PT so haven't done that. I feel there should be more recovery for my knee and not just waiting till it gets worse and have a replacement.

Should I see another doctor?
