Kneecap Reallignment

I was hoping that someone has had this procedure done. In a few weeks I am scheduled to have a Kneecap reallignment. I was told no weight bearing for almost 2 months. I was told that if I walk on the leg that it is possible that I could snap my Tibea. I had a knee scope 2/14/06 that did not take care of the problem. I had a torn lateral miniscus, and alot of Plica that needed to be cleaned out. My doctor said this time he does not think that he can scope because I already have level 3 cartiledge ware on the under side of the knee. I have had 2 ankle surgeries ( 1 elmslie procedure, that fell apart, then a bostrom procedure then a cyst. I then had the serial nerve cut and buried as well due to severe trauma during the first surgery. I am just very scared that this is not going to work for me. This will be my 5th surgery on the right leg/foot in 2 years. Any stories to share relating to this surgery topic would be greatly appreciated. My therapist only told me that it is very painful and that their is a long rehab time.
