I am a 50 yr old professional female diagnosed with medial meniscus tears (complex) and severe articular degeneration in the medial region. I am concerned with the financial pressures of such a lengthy recovery period following a total knee as well as the prospect of 1 or 2 more potential replacement surgeries. HOw soon is one actually able to return to work? I am in private practice and this of great concern to me. Also, is dancing considered too rigorous or high impact an activity following a knee replacement?
