After seeing doctors on and off for 5 years for knee problems, I had something amazing happen yesterday. My new family practicioner started asking me questions regarding my emotional health...from family history (well one grandma commited suicide and the other gradma was alcoholic). We talked about me being jaded with the medical system, and my condition.

He then went on to explain that he really watches out for depression in cases of chronic pain and illness, because it's very common. I mean think about it, we try to exercise to release happy seritonin signals to our brain, and we get negative pain signals instead. Our social, and family lives are effected by our pain...YOU'RE COMPLETELY NORMAL if your mind and emotions are being affected.

Just having a doctor acknowledge that, made me feel sooo good.

Just a thought...if you are feeling down, mention it to your family doctor. You may want treatment for your deppression, or may just want to talk about it. Either way, it will help a lot.
