swelling in knee

I had surgery in Nov. 04 to remove a bone spur from tibia near bursitis. For the past three weeks I have been getting swelling in my knee, it swells most at the top outside of the knee and also I get a popping feeling sometimes when I pivot or turn which is painful, and it is also painful to go up and down stairs or run
