Be careful I tore my quaericeps tendon during physical therapy after that surgery. It is a known complication of the surgery but rare.

I had LR about 3 years ago. I had trouble with my VMO firing after the procedure. Now that I've had the AMZ, cartilage transplant, I had trouble with the quad "firing" but am getting better after 3 months. The LR was just a frustrating procedure.

I had the LR done in both knees and they didn't help with tracking at all. My doctor actually gave up and stopped helping me. He had opperated on me over 6 times on each knee. He didn't know what else to do.

LR is indicated when you have patellar tilt. Subluxation episodes alone are not an indication for LR, although it has been performed in the past, and continues to be by some surgeons, when there is no tilt.
I had good results w/my R LR 5 years ago. Going in for L next week, along with medial reefing.
My surgeon has just mentioned this to me. Under what circumstances do you have this done. I have Grade IV chrondomalacia, osteoarthritis, and a hole and a spur that was cut out last year.

I had an open Lat release. My incision is about an inch and a half long plus a hole where the drain was and a hole where the camera went.
