My name is kristin and I posted on Knee1.com a long time ago. I have done some more searching for getting rid of the pain and popping and clicking in my joints, specifically my knees. I have found the solution and it is totally outside what I thought the problem was. I went to a chiropractor that uses Applied Kinesiology and who knows a lot about nutrition. She said that I need to eliminate carbohydrates and surgar from my diet. She said that that was causing my popping and clicking. I had a hard time believing her at first but when I tried the surgarfree, low carb diet my popping significantly reduced. I told her my concern that I may not always be able to remain carb-fee because of reality and she did some more muscle testing on me and gave me some supplements to help me when I eat the wrong foods. I don't have PFS any more! If you have any questions please e-mail me because this really helped me and I think it could help you too.

I have had three operations on my knee for this problem. I had the fulkerson procedure done in August, I am still in therapy. I was pain free until I hit my shin on the coffee table right where one of the screws were, the spot wouldn't heal so I had to have the screws removed. Now my knee is hurting more and more each day. I believe I will have to have surgery again. I have been going through these problems for over 10 years and I know different things to help, if I can help you in any way let me know. Maybe together we can figure something out!! Take care.

Hi I have been having some problems with both knees and was looking for some advice. When I was 11yrs old I started getting pains in my knee, after seeing my Dr, I was refered to my local hospital who for approximately 6yrs put all of my pain down to growing pains. I had countless x-rays, MRI scans and injections which apparently showed nothing and had to endure months of having my legs in full plaster casts. When I was 17yrs old I paid to go and see a private physiotherapist at a football club who spent 5 mins examining my knees and told me I had chondramalacia patellae he gave me some exercises to do and for a while it went away. Im now 24yrs old and for the past 3yrs the pain has become worse, although now it is only in one knee not both, so I have researched CP on the net and am astonished to find out that the hospital never diagnosed it when all of the syptoms were plain to see. Could going so long undetected make CP worse? I still do the exercises and take anti-inflammitaries but nothing seems to work. I also injured my foot/ankle a year ago and this has seemed to make my knee worse, could my foot injury have added to my knee condition. Im sorry this is so long winded but I would really appreciate some advice for other sufferers. Thanks.
