Im a sheetmetal worker by trade and work on flat roofs and steel decks which requires alot of kneeling. Last summer I was diagnosed with bursitis and was told to compress it and take ibuprofin which I did for 4 weeks. Then my family doctor drained and injected my knee with cortizone this didnt work so I was sent to a ortho specialist who drained and injected it also with the same results. On Feb 22 the specialist removed the pre patellar bursa on my rt knee he said "7 to 10 day recovery. You will be 100% HA I was off work completely for 2 wks and am still on light duty (2mo) I havent really tested it but I still have a sharp pain on the outside of my knee when I stress it and it aches when used alot. I dont know how much faith I have left In my "specialist" I know its a little late but I want to know if anyone can tell me any after effects of this surgery or a similar experience. If I had it to do over I would not have had surgery.
