knum knee no pain?

To whom ever can help I have had a knum knee for 7 days now and looking for answers before I go see a doctor. There is no pain what so ever. It is just knum around the cap. I have no pain else where on my body that is the strange thing about my situation. If you can help I would appreciate it very much. Thanks. Geneva.
