I play softball, and during the season (in February) I landed on my knee really hard while diving for a ball. My knee swelled a little bit, but not much. Then about 4 or so days later I noticed A LOT of fluid on the outside of my knee cap and on top. It was diagnosed as bursitis. When I squatted down and stood up there was also a grinding noise I could hear. Anyhow, The fluid never fully disappeared, so during the summer I had an MRI done. It showed the bursa "caught" on my knee, and also my doctor said I had a dent on the back of my knee cap, but didn't go into any further detail so I have no idea what that means. It's been almost 7 months now and I still have a bubble of fluid on the top of my knee cap, a painful knot appears on the outer top side of my knee when I do a lot of activity, and the grinding noise is still present, and my knee appears to lock sometimes when I straighten it. Any suggestions on what I should do now? Get it examined again? Thanks so much. Lisa
