I am having more problems now than before the surgery. Doctor doesn't seem to care. Did you ever get any better? Is there any hope for my recovery. I have been four months since surgery and cannot get out of a chair without assistance.

Hi, I'm 7 weeks post op and am still having problems from my lateral release. I still have considerable swelling, pain & stiffness. I can't walk without limping. I have been in PT 3x week beginning immediately after the surgery. My therapist has had to tape my knee because it still wants to slip around and my doctor tells me not to worry. But the doctor doesn't think that the surgery was successful. I am very frustrated with the situation and was wondering if anyone out there has had similar experiences or has any advice. Thanks

Amy
