Thanks for replying, My lateral release was not performed arthroscopic, I have about a 2 inch scar from the procedure. So now I have about 12 scars from all my surgeries.Anyways my lateral release was done because my knee cap was not aligning right,I guess thats what I was told. Well, I go to my OS on Sept. 1 in about a week,so we'll see what he says. Thanks

I had 2, one being arthroscopic along with a chondroplasty, 2nd one was open with a TTT realignment. My OS says a LR isn't effective when done more than once arthroscopically. I really hope your knee gets better. BTW is it done for the right reason say patellar tilt? Otherwise it sure won't work! Gr33tz

Hi, I am 28 have had 3 knee surgeries in the past 3 years, my last being last June, it was a lateral release. After the surgery my knee never felt better, until about 1 week ago I began feeling the same pain I had before the surgery. I think that my surgery was not succesfull. Has anybody had to have more than 1 lateral release? Any information would be helpful Thank You
