I injured my knee in the beginning of july at soccer camp. So far all that has been dx is a grade 2 MCL/LCL tear. There is the possibility that my ACL is torn. I too have been having severe muscle spasms. I get them in my quad and hamstring. What has really helped is electrical stimulation. The trainer I'm working with basically makes my muscle contract to the point of fatigue. It's pretty uncomfortable, but it really works.

See my website http://www.backfixbodywork.com Lots of articles starting with into ones. Also see sports medicine article and fixing accumulated shortness. Many testimonials. Seems like you have bunched up your soft connective tissue in themuscles so their extention, the tendons, have pulled the joint area at the wrong angle and too hard. Body building has a tendency to do this - strength is good, shortness in the fascia short connective tissue can create problems like this. You also may need to add sea weeds and green juices to your diet to nourish the tissues better. Email me OK after you read some.

Hi, I am a 41 year old bodybuilder who just had ACL reconstruction with the petella graft 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. My problem is that at night my leg does these involuntary jerking movements which cause my leg to bend or straighten WAY BEYOND their ability at this point causing me SEVERE pain. My surgeon just blows off my concerns and has no answer for me. I was told not to wear my leg brace at night (or ever) and that it would stop the mobility of the leg if I did. I have had to resort to wearing my brace at night just to prohibit the jerking movements which cause so much pain. Anyone else gone through this or ever even heard of it. So far I have not met anyone who can relate? Desperate for help in AZ
