Hi Stasky,
Good to hear that you're doing well after your surgery! Recovery time is different for everyone, and if you're concerned about the tightness in your knee, you should ask your surgeon or physical therapist about it. You can also alternate running with lower-impact activities like biking or swimming to minimize the impact that your exercise regime has on your knee. Finally, you can check out some of the other resources on knee1.com, like the FAQ page (http://www.knee1.com/Expert_Advice/FAQs/ACL_Injury_and_Repair) or posts from others who are in the process of recovering from ACL injuries, such as the following:
Im about 5 months out of surgery. I finished my PT a few weeks ago, my knee feels great and i am running and back to squating. But i am always worried about the possibility of stretching out my acl or even tearing it again. am I just over reacting or should i cut back on my excercise? ive been experiencing some tightness in my knee in the last week, but i have minimal swelling around my knee. any advice is appreciated.
