Have you ever considered anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction abroad? It is an alternative that is more and more often considered by people who suffer from severe damage of ACL but cannot afford extremely high prices at home.

Lithuania is getting on the map of medical tourism, especially for knee surgeries because it manages to combine competitive price with high quality offering the services of highly experienced and worldwide appreciated surgeons who are constantly invited to perform difficult surgeries abroad.

It is just something to consider because it is good to know ones options.

I had an ACL reconstructive surgery (graft) 4 months ago. I did PT and felt good... typical huh? A few days ago I went hiking where I slipped and fell... I felt a lot pain in my knee especially in the exterior lower side of my knee. It hurt for a few minutes, I heard some popping too but I was able to hike back limping. Now I can bend it any way I want, I can walk on it just fine but my knee gets tired after a few minutes and the pain increases. I still have mild pain in and around my knee. There was a lot of swealling at first, but after icing it, elevating it and taking Ibuprofen the swealling has almost dissapeared. Yesterday I went to my Orthoped doctor... They took x-rays and he said the allignment looks good and that I "will probably be ok"... I was also told that it's a little loose (ACL) but "that is sometimes normal with an allograft". Well... I slept on that "you will PROBABLY be ok" and realised I am still concerned. My question to you is: Should I be worried that after 4 days I still feel mild pain? Could I have loosen too much the ACL from the metal part that holds it in the bone (maybe because it did not heal completly)? Or could it be completely torn again but not feel that much pain because the nerves did not grow yet that's why I am not in major pain? Please advise...
Thank you.
