You will probably be able to walk without crutches or brace... Should you be standing in line for hours? mhh... be carefull about that. Ask for a chair in line... do what you need to do and don't be embarrassed. I wouldn't be dancing or getting drunk... that could very dangerous since it's hard to judge sober how much stress you should put on your knee otherwise drunk. Think about this: your graduation is one night... your knee is there for life. Go to the graduation but kepp it light! My recovery time was fast and after 3 weeks I was going on a cruise to Bahamas. walked on the beaches and moved around a lot WITH A BRACE. I know you will be graduating but take it easy... you can re-injure it again easy. That's what I did. Fortunatelly it was just a sprain and I should be ok soon but listen to the doctor, nurses and phiscal therapist... TAKE IT EASY even if you feel good, just repeat it in your head that it needs much more time to heal then what you think! Good luck and congrats!

How long after ACL reconstruction until you start to feel normal? by that I mean no brace, crutches, cane, etc, and able to stand for long periods of time, walk, and just generally be back to day to day activities?

I will be graduating university 2 months after my surgery...will I be okay by then to be walking across the stage "normally" to get my diploma? I'll also have to stand in line for a long period of time beforehand.
How about celebrating with my friends afterwards? I know its SO silly to be worrying about how long I can celebrate or go to a bar or anything (thats the least of my worries right now!) but I do want to celebrate my graduation if I can...it only happens once!
Will any or all of this be do able 2 months after surgery?

Thanks for any help!
