I am now at day 9 post op and I have -5 to 110 degrees range of motion. My swelling and pain are minimal. Yesterday, I was given the OK by Dr Martin to bear weight on left knee and ditch the crutches. I am now able to walk (obviously w/ a noticable limp) and I have zero pain when doing so. I have completed 3 PT sessions now and I hope to be able to walk without a limp within a week or so.

Just as an FYI to all those in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitian area, Dr Richard Martin with Arizona Bone and Joint is one of the best ACL docs in the country!

Here are a few links to find him on the web:

http://www.phoenixmag.com/top-docs/Directory/

He performed ACL reconstuction (B-PT-B) and medial meniscus menisectomy on my left knee on Monday the 18th of Jan/10. I am now 4 days post op and had started PT yesterday. Pain was minimal and swelling was moderate and I did not opt for the femoral block (didn't need it in hindsight). I am feeling really good considering how invasive of a surgery is with ACL reconstruction.

Using CPM machine.

Using Cryo cuff (Bregg Polar Care)

Using Bregg knee brace with range of 0-90 ROM.

Hope this helps anyone in the Phx, AZ area looking for a Top Doc for ACL repair!!

Regards,

Scott
