Frusturation with knees
I am wondering if anyone can offer advice. I am a 37 year old female, who has had knee pain since my teens. I have had knee surgery on both my knees. The doctors seem to agree that I have arthritis, and I should just deal with it. Well I have been 'dealing' with pain and not being able to participate in general fun activities such as dancing, climbing stairs, long distance walking etc. I have been going to physical therapy on and off for the past 4 years. I get better, start to live life and then end up back where I started. I have been hearing about cartilage replacement. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone know of any good doctors in the Chicago area? I just recently moved here from Wisconsin. I am tired of hearing that I am too young for a knee replacement and to deal with it. I want to be able to live the life style of a 30+ person now, not in 15 years when I am eligible for a knee replacement.
