Knee & leg (right)

I don't know if anyone here could help, but my doctors and myself are at almost a dead end. My story is as follows: 13 years ago I was in a car accident in which I broker the tibia bone near the ankle after 5 months and no union the doctors decided to go in and perform a fibulectomy which is where they cut out a small piece of the fibula so the tibia can drop and heal. around a year and a half ago we had a fire in our building and we had to use the stairs to get back and forth to our office for 2 days. by the end of the 2nd day my right leg began to hurt intensely. I have seen several doctors since and gotten no where. My pain is at the head of the fibula where the main nerve wraps around and continues down the leg. I have had numerous tests and cortizone shots to try to find a problem to fix. I have recently had a lot of swelling all the way to my foot and ankle. I had a MRI done this week and the only thing found was fluid on the knee. I am still waiting on the doctors to look at the views and give their opinion. Is it possible that "water on the knee" could be putting pressure on my nerve and making these painful days for me? OR Could the problem we can not locate be the cause of the "water on the knee"? The doctors will not do explorartory surgery due to the major risks involved. ANYONE WITH SUGGESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME VIA E-MAIL lindakogler@msn.com I am on a lot of pain medicine and getting very distressed and depressed with my situation. Need help!
