High Tibial Osteotomy
I had a high tibial osteotomy in July of 2000. I also had surgery in Jan. 2001, due to a non-union of the site, requiring a bone graft, and replacement of the hardware. I am still in near constant pain, often have a hard time walking, I have fallen three times in the last two months, cannot drive, cannot work, and suffer from depression from the whole experience. Overall, I am no worse off then before I had the surgury. My doctor reports to the insurance company (I was originally injured at work) that I am doing "outstanding" My original valgus alinment was 8 degrees, and is now at six, I believe it was at 4 after the first surgury. I also had cartilage removed from the knee twice before this procedure. Any comments or suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreaciated.
