Knee Pain I am 44 years old and I have been told that I have osteoarthritis. The pain that I have in my leg doesn't sound like it is caused by the arthritis. My knee hurts under the kneecap and legs of the pain spread down the front of my leg and ankle. The pain sometimes kinda prickles in the middle, front of my lower leg. It hurts to sit and lay down most of all - you have to sleep a little at night and then walk a little, continually all night long. I have been given different inflammatory drugs (piroxicam and indomethecin), I have tried Vicodin and Tylenol 3 for pain. I was given Nortriplyne?sp??? to help sleep and nothing helps. I have this pain sometimes so bad that I have no relief until I just keep taking over the counter/prescription drugs (more than prescribed) and I worry about this. I have been back and forth to the Doctor begging for help. The pain is killing me - any ideas????....one friend told me it sounds like the back?!?!?
