Knee Pain I had surgery on my left knee 13 yrs ago for repair of medial menicus. I am now experiencing increasing pain and stiffness. Also, 14 months ago, I suddenly noticed pain in my right knee, that has gradually increased to a severe level. With both knees aching, I have been experiencing increased difficulty walking, keeping my balance, negotiating stairs, (expecially downstairs). My doctor has diagnosed me with osteoarthritis, I am taking voltarin, which helps, if I forget one dose I experienced significant increase in symtoms. I am 54 yrs old, male. I also have been waking up at night screaming out, which must be result of pain. My question would be how far am I from replacement, or is there any other treatment that would help. Any comments appreciated.
