ACL Reconstruction :-) I had allograft ACL reconstruction 8/26 due to a ski accident in Jan. I have had absolutely no pain from post-op to now. I am way ahead of where I should be in my dr's post-op progression. The best advice I can give is to get your leg strong and flexible prior to surgery (After 3 months of debating on surgery I had to delay surgery due to work and was able to do some intense strengthening for 4 months pre-op)and to maintain flexibility post-op. I followed the dr's orders completely. I will admit I did have a slight advantage having a sports medicine background (being able to progress myself without waiting to see the MD with his permission of course) I know this may be a rare case but when I was checking out stories before surgery I just wish there were a few more "good" stories to calm my pre-op jitters.
