Living with CP
HI everyone, well I couldnt agree more that this is a real pain and I mean that literally.I feel lucky I have been dealing with this for the last 6 months but after reading all I can find on CP its very depressing, I was hoping to find a solution but aparently there isnt one. I find the hardest thing for me to deal with is the lack of sleep the pain becomes so intense at times I just want to cry.
I did see an orthopedic surgeon which he infomed me that when a person has this condition they can do surgery but there are 50/50 odds it can either get better or worse I'm sorry but those are not good enough odds for me and after reading some of the posts here I think I am right.
My orthopedic Dr sent me to physcial therapy but I only went twice it seem to make it worse and since he doesnt belive perscribing anything for pain I refused to go back.
I am going to be seeing a new Orthopedic Dr tomorrow 12/8/04 he is supposed to be a pain specialist.
My one question is that with CP I have noticed that my gait (walk) is different and now I have a tremendous amount of pain in my right hip, to the point that I can only sleep (when I sleep) on my back or my left side. I am wondering does anyone seem to have the same? oh by the way my CP is in my right knee.
Thanks for being here everyone.
Lisa
