pain control solution

hi i am 46 years old and have suffered with this condition for a long time over the past 3 years it has got very bad and i suffer a great deal of chronic pain. i have seen many doctors and the out come is that there is not much they can do. the knees are wearing out. the exersises that were recomended dont do much to help . the pain killers dont help much either. but i have found somthing that does a t.e.n.s. machine transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation . you attatch two sticky pads to each side of the knees then connect to a small battery operated machine it sends small electric impulses to the nerves around the knees. there is a book by alan king grad. dip. phys.mcsp srp called kings guide to tens which tells all about the machine and how it works. it has worked for me ,i use it everday and from not being able to go out of the house or being able to sleep and very depressed i have got back to work on light duties and am living my life much better and more normal. i know this condition doesent go away and the pain has not gone completly and does come back with avengence if i dont use the tens it has given me my life back all be it not the same as it use to be but 1oo times better than a few months ago. i have to be carful what i do and not over do things and i have to use the tens every day sometimes a few times a day sometimes just for an hour and sometimes i need pain killing drugs but i dont have as many as a use to and i feel better about this as the tens is not invasive to your body like the drugs are . in england these machines cost about £35 pounds. well worth the price i have 2 incase one breaks i am that dependant on it its the only thing that has given me any relief from this cripaling condition its worth trying a tens hope this letter is some help to someone good luck.
