pain from knee to foot
I need help. Anyone who may know what I may be feeling, please respond. I went in for exploratory arthroscopy surgery. My knee had started locking on occasion. Double joints run in the family so I figured that was the cause. The doctor I saw wanted to look around and see. Without my knowledge he used thermo shrinkage of the meniscal synovial membrane both for the medial meniscus and the lateral meniscus. He also said I had a chondral fracture on the distral half of the patella which he debrided with a 3.5 meniscal resector. He left a pain pump in my leg for a few days and said for me to use crutches for 6 weeks. Since the surgery I have had a pulling pain from my knee down the upper part of my lower leg and into the top of my foot. My knee hurts now constantly as well as my leg and foot. It feels like he pulled something too tight. What could this pain be? Is there any way to fix it? The doctor said to deal with it and gave me drugs. The surgery was August 7, 2002 and this is Feb. 2003 and I am still hurting. I went for a second opinion and the doctor told me to go to Texas, that no doctor in this area will operate after the doctors who work at the clinic I went too. Since I have severe back problems a long drive is hard on me. Before I do that I hope to find something that I could suggest the doctor look for.
Sincerely,
Peggy
