Chondromalacia Femoral Chondyle
Just over two months ago, after on-going pain in my right knee, I woke up screaming with my knee 'stuck' in a bent position facing behind. Emergency surgery the next day revealed 'chondromalacia femoral chondyle.' The surgeon has not answered any of my questions (he is too busy) and no one seems to be able to give me some advice on what my prognosis will be, physio, etc. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out. I am 3 months post-op, still can't do a lot and wonder if I will ever be back to 'normal.' I was told I will never be able to run again or lift weights and I am interested in body-building, so, this was horrible news. My injury was rated '4' and I believe the scale only goes to 5! But, what does that really mean? Should I be in physio? Can anyone help me out? Thank you very much! Cathrine
