i had what was called a modified macintosh with medial & lateral meinesectomy in 1976 by the late james arnold in fayetteville, arkansas. Dr. Arnold was the razorback orthopod @ the time & I just wanted to let it be known what a wonderful result I had. I beleive this procedure involved a hamstring transfer but it has held up very well. However I did develope a severe arthritis in my opposite hip that is requiring a hip resurfacing procedure. Anybody else out there who has had similar problems ? Thanks, Jim Herrington
